Client: Office of the Deputy Prime Minister (ODPM) Agency: Bell Design, London Brief: To pitch for a promotional handbook promoting fire safety for the home and family Concept:The initial presentation focused on making the book as user-friendly as possible. This was achieved by adding a quick 4-page checklist at the front of the book allowing the reader to quickly access key fire safety advice. The strap line ‘Your best defence against disaster – check’ was used throughout the promotional material. In addition to the book, we were asked to come up with a way of engaging children in a fun, but educational way. This was achieved by the development of a game based on Cluedo which was re-branded as ‘The Usual Suspects’ Result: Winning the competitive pitch and producing the book, which was distributed throughout the UK.
